## Methodology

Built on a compilation of thousands of publications, over 1,100 international sources, and millions of online reviews, La Liste provides a unique, data-based global ranking of the best restaurants and hotels, accessible anytime through its app.

- **Aggregation**: Evaluations of top restaurants and hotels from more than 1,100 recognized sources — media outlets, institutions, and digital platforms — are gathered into a global database.
- **Standardization**: Each evaluation is converted to a unified 0-to-100 scale, based on a conversion table specific to each source.
- **Weighting of sources**: The weight assigned to each source is determined by its importance, reach, reliability, and independence, ensuring a fair and transparent representation of global gastronomy.
- **Data processing**: For every establishment, a weighted average of all evaluations is calculated according to the relative importance of each source, ensuring consistency and transparency.
- **Guest reviews**: Online customer reviews from major platforms account for 10% of the final score, ensuring a balanced perspective between expert evaluation and public opinion.
- **The final ranking**: Restaurants and hotels are then ranked according to their global score, resulting in a trustworthy, impartial, and representative list of worldwide excellence.
