After serving as Director of the Brussels office and Head of Communications at Nissan Motors Co., Ltd., and later as Chief of Staff to the President at Japan Telecom Co., Ltd. (now SoftBank Corp.), he established himself as a researcher in gastronomic culture in 2006.

Distinction: In 2017, he was awarded the rank of Knight in the Order of Agricultural Merit.
